Gets or sets a value indicating whether the terminal uses the ANSI character set or the ASCII character set for ASCII transfers from the host.
Syntax

where expression is a variable that represents a IbmTerminal Object

Property Value

A FileSystemOption enumeration value.
Exceptions
ExceptionDescription
Attachmate.Reflection.SecuredSettingException This exception is thrown when you modify a property that was secured via the Permissions Manager, or that can only be modified by an Administrator.
Remarks

Do not change the default value of this property (Windows) if you use the AS/400 data transfer feature. The default is Windows.

Windows Characters are assumed to be ANSI and are not translated.
DOS Characters are translated to ASCII (also known as the OEM character set) before being sent or after being received from the host.
