DefaultPorts Property
Gets or sets a value indicating whether the terminal should attempt to communicate with the host transaction programs using the default port numbers (as defined by IBM).

This exception is thrown when you modify a property that was secured via the Permissions Manager, or that can only be modified by an Administrator.
Remarks


The default port numbers (as defined by IBM) are shown below:

Server Default Port
Central server 8470
Database server 8471
Sign-on server 8476
File transfer server 8478

If this property is set to false, the terminal attempts to discover the available ports, resulting in a small increase in connecting time. This property is relevant for 5250 file transfer over TCP/IP.
