Opening a Reflection 14 Session in Reflection Desktop

This video shows how to open a Reflection 14 session in Reflection Desktop and how to import a toolbar for the session into the Reflection Ribbon.

You can open Reflection 14 session files, along with their toolbars, in Reflection Desktop.
This video shows how to open these files when using the Reflection Desktop Classic interface and in the default Ribbon interface.

When you are using the Reflection Desktop Classic interface, the toolbars in the session file open along with the session.

If you are using Reflection Ribbon interface, you’ll need to import the toolbar after you open the session. To do this, select UI Designer on the Appearance tab.

In the Ribbon UI Designer, we’ll add a group and name it My Toolbar. Then we’ll import the tool bar into this group.

If we select to use small buttons, the toolbar is imported as rows of vertical buttons on the Ribbon.  If we leave this option unselected, the toolbar is imported as a horizontal row of buttons.

The buttons on the toolbar display the same way as other groups. When there is room, the buttons are displayed on the ribbon. When there isn’t room on the ribbon for the buttons, they can be accessed from a drop down list.

After you import the file, be sure to save it. The file is saved as a Reflection Desktop session file.
