This video shows how to map a key to open a Web URL and to remap the * (Multiply key) on the Numpad to send an asterisk (*) instead of Multiply.

0:08 - 0:39 This video shows how to modify a keyboard map in Reflection Desktop. With a session open in Reflection, open the Keyboard Mapper. How you get there depends on which interface you’re using. If you’re using the Classic interface and you're in a VT Session, this is on the Setup menu. For a Classic IBM session, it’s on the View menu. Or if you’re using the Ribbon, it’s on the Tools tab. 0:39 - 0:50 We’ll change the mapping for a couple of keys. First, we want to map a key to open a Web URL. And then we’ll map the * key on the NumPad to map to a text value instead of a mathematic value. 0:50 - 1:04 In Keyboard Mapper, we’ll enter Ctrl+F10. But we see that this key is already mapped and we don’t want to change it so we need to choose another key. Ctrl+W looks clear. 1:06 - 1:17 Now we’ll select to map this key to an action. You can map keys to a variety of predefined actions - these actions are organized into the groups shown on the left of the window. 1:17 - 1:31 You can use actions that send keys or text, launch applications, open Web URLs, and run macros, along with other actions. When we enter the star key on the Numpad, we see that it’s already mapped. But we know we want to change this so we’ll go ahead and modify it. In Select Actions, we’ll select Send Text and then map this key to a star instead of multiply. 2:12 - 2:26 Now let's test the keys that we mapped. When we enter Ctrl+W, our Web URL opens.
