The InfoConnect INT1 Transport package consists of two InfoConnect libraries:
Interactive 1 external interface library (EIL)
Telcon service library (SL)
As shown in the following figure, these libraries enable PCs to communicate with ClearPath IX, 2200 Series, or System 80 hosts via TCP/IP:
Figure 6
The TCP/IP EIL and TP0 SL are included in the InfoConnect TCP/IP Transport package. When you create or configure INT1 paths, you configure both INT1 and the TCP/IP Transport.
To enable a PC to communicate with a host, you must create at least one InfoConnect path.
INT1 Features
The INT1 Transport offers a number of features:
You can specify a number of different device types to emulate, including a UTS 20/40/60 terminal or a printer.
You can specify an initial transaction for all paths that access a particular host application, or you can specify the initial transaction for each path.
You can connect to the host automatically when you open a terminal emulation session.
You can identify the host using either an IP address or a domain name.
You can specify a number of communication options, such as the commands to use to establish and end host communication.
