To remove line numbers from source code

You use the unnumber command to remove the COBOL line numbers from source code:

  1. Open a source file in the editor.
  2. In the COBOL toolbar, click the down arrow next to the renumber button, Toggle COBOL line numbering mode, and click either one of the available unnumber buttons as necessary.

This removes any numbers and text that are in the area for the selected line numbering style.

For example, if you have configured the editor to use COBOL line numbering, unnumbering removes all text from the COBOL sequence area.

You can use Undo to revert the changes.

To specify your preferences for renumbering, either click Tools > Options > Text Editor > Micro Focus COBOL > Line Numbering, or select the down arrow next to the renumber button in the COBOL toolbar, Toggle COBOL line numbering mode, and click Options and Settings Toggle Standard line numbering mode.
