Enterprise Developer enables you to develop native and managed COBOL applications, including applications that have been migrated from the mainframe and that use mainframe technologies such as Assembler, PL/I, CICS, JCL and IMS.
You use the Microsoft Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment to develop, compile as either native (unmanaged) or managed code, and debug your applications. You can then deploy and further debug the application under the Micro Focus COBOL run-time system, Enterprise Server.
