To set a run-time environment variable

  1. From the Solution Explorer, right-click a COBOL Program service interface; then select Configure Runtime Environment.
  2. Click the Environment Variables tab.
  3. In the Variable field, type the name of the variable.
  4. In the Value field, type the value for the variable.
  5. Click Set. This populates the environment variables list and sets the environment variable for Enterprise Server to use at runtime for the selected service only.
