From an
Enterprise Developer command prompt, enter

Click the box below

BOTH - changes on either the mainframe or the workstation are synchronized
UPLOAD - only changes on the workstation are synchronized to the mainframe
DOWNLOAD - only changes on the mainframe are synchronized to the workstation
MONITOR - mimics the BOTH setting without changes being made
Click
Binary Data Transfer to transfer PDS data sets in binary format.
In the
Member Type field, specify the type of member contained in an Endevor, Panvalet or Librarian container, if appropriate.
If required, click
Advanced and select one or more of the following options:
Note: These options apply to all active rules.
Delete workstation file if mainframe member is deleted - during synchronization, if a member has been deleted on the mainframe, it will also be deleted on the workstation.
Delete workstation folder if library is deleted - during synchronization, if a library has been deleted on the mainframe, the workstation folder is also deleted if it contains no other synchronized members.
Handle embedded hex in MF MDECONV format - uses the MDECONV technique to deal with embedded hex values, that is, all translated hex values less than
x'1f' have a null character inserted before the hex value, and the COBOL run-time system handles these embedded hex values.
Suppress embedded hex warning messages - pop-up messages when a non-printing character is received from the mainframe are not displayed; an entry is recorded in the log file instead.
If required, click
Filters, then add a simple or advanced filter:
To add a simple filter, in the
Simple Filter field, enter a filter (for example AA* filters only on data sets that start AA), then click
OK.
To add an advanced filter, click
Use Advanced Filters,
Add Filters, click the required filter and select how the filter should work (Include or
Exclude), then click
OK.
In the
Directory field, enter the path of a workstation directiory to use for synchronization.
In the
File Extension field, enter the extension that will be applied to each member synchronized to the workstation.
