You can create new files in your project using your own file templates. See
Using custom project and file templates for details about how to create file templates.
To create a file from a template:
- Right-click your project in COBOL Explorer, click
New and either specify
COBOL Program or
COBOL Copybook.
- Specify a name for the file in the
New file name field.
- Select the template you want to use.
The dialog shows the default Micro Focus template and any custom templates you might have enabled.
- If you have not configured the IDE to use custom templates, click
Configure template preferences. This starts the
Preferences dialog that enables you to specify any custom templates to use.
- If you want to use another existing file as a template, check
Browse for template and click
Browse to navigate to the location of the file and to select it.
- Click
Finish to create the new file in your project.
