---|---|
Spooled NOTE: To have a print job spool to a file, you must:
|
Send the data directly to a printer, or create a spooled file that can be saved, printed, or deleted manually. |
Disk File NOTE: If you click Disk File, you must type a file name in the Disk File Name text box. |
Send the data to a PC file. |
Disk file name
If you selected Disk File as the Printing Mode, type the name of the PC file where the data will be sent, including the file extension. Whenever new data is sent, it will be appended to any existing data in this file.
Spool directory
If you selected Spooled as the Printing Mode, type the name of the directory where you want to create the spooled file. If you don't type a directory name, the spooled file will be created in the Windows TEMP directory.
To have a print job spool to a file, you must perform the following:
Select Configure, Miscellaneous.
Clear PERFORM AUTOPRINT.
Printer Control Character Filter
Select this option to remove any printer control characters from the data and format it using the options specified on the Font dialog box. If you clear this option, the printer control characters will be retained and sent to the printer.
NOTE:If the host application is designed to print on a particular model of printer, clear this option. If you select this option and the host sends more data than can fit within the specified number of columns for the selected printer, Print Services inserts a carriage return (CR) in the last column, and the remaining data is printed on the next line.
Whether you select or clear this option, be sure to run a test print job. Some printer hardware and printer drivers do not work reliably with text files.
Enable Esc SO/Esc SI
Select this option to process any extended characters received between Esc SO and Esc SI sequences. If you clear this option, Print Services will ignore any extended characters received between Esc SO and Esc SI sequences.
Enable SO/SI
Select this option to process any extended characters received between SO and SI sequences. If you clear this option, Print Services will ignore any extended characters received between SO and SI sequences.
Enable
Select this option if you want T27 Print Services to automatically try to reconnect to the host if the connection is accidentally lost.
If you select this option, T27 Print Services tries to reconnect to the host in the amount of time specified in the Attempt To Reconnect Every x Min text box. For example, if a 5 appears in this text box, T27 Print Services tries to reconnect to the host every five minutes.
If you clear this option, T27 Print Services will not automatically try to reconnect.
Attempt To Reconnect Every [ ] Min
If you selected Enable, type the number of minutes (1-60) that should elapse between reconnection attempts. For example, if you want T27 Print Services to try to reconnect to the host every five minutes, you would type 5 in this text box.
If you leave this text box blank, T27 Print Services tries to reconnect to the host every minute.
