MATIP Host Configuration Dialog Box

Using this dialog box, you can specify the host and the IP address or host domain name, and connection status query and addressing options.

Options	Description
Host	Enter a unique name to identify the settings on this dialog box. You can store settings for up to 5 hosts and then reference the information when creating multiple InfoConnect paths.
Delete	Click this to delete the current Host Configuration information.
IP Address Or Domain Name	Type the IP address of the MATIP transport using the following guidelines: If you are using an IP address, type the address using four groups of digits (0-255) separated by periods (such as 12.234.0.123). If you are using a domain name, type the domain name of the host (up to 63 characters). If the host is in a different domain than the PC, type the domain name of the host using the following syntax: name.domain.type where name is the name of the host, domain is the domain or group in which name is located, and type is the three-character type of the domain (such as mil, com, or edu). For example, the domain name for the host Joshua in the military domain Defcon might be joshua.defcon.mil.
Security
Type	Select from the drop down the desired security level. Once this option is select you can pick the Strength of your selected security level.
Verify host certificate name	Verifies the host certificate name has a valid CA signature.
Validate certificate chain	Specifies whether certificates presented for host authentication are checked to determine if they are valid and signed by a trusted CA.
Use CRL	Specifies whether your client session checks for certificate revocation using CRLs (Certificate Revocation Lists) when validating host certificates. CRLs may be specified in the CDP extension of the certificate itself. You can also specify CRL using the LDAP tab in the Reflection Certificate Manager.
Use OCSP	Specifies whether your client session checks for certificate revocation using OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol) responders when validating host certificates. OCSP responders may be specified in the AIA extension of the certificate itself. You can also specify OCSP responders using the OCSP tab in the Reflection Certificate Manager.
Reflection Certificate Manager	Opens the Reflection Certificate Manager.
Connection Status (Optional)
Interval (sec)	This value determines the number of seconds between connection status queries.
Retries	This value determines the number of consecutive unanswered connection status queries made before deciding that the MATIP session is broken.
Addressing
4 Byte	Select this to use the full ASCU address (H1, H2, A1, A2) in the message headers.
2 Byte	Select this to use only the last 2 bytes of the ASCU address (A1, A2) in the message headers.
