To select text in a session window
Position the mouse pointer where you want to begin the text selection, hold down the left mouse button, and drag the mouse pointer across the text that you want to select.
You can select either a contiguous stream of characters from the starting pointer position to the ending pointer position (stream selection), or a rectangular block of text that includes all lines and columns from the starting pointer position to the ending pointer position (rectangle selection).
You can toggle the method of text selection (stream selection or rectangle selection) dynamically during a session by holding down the CTRL key while selecting text. Toggling applies only to selecting text using a mouse.

Position the cursor where you want to begin the text selection, hold down the SHIFT key, and use the ARROW keys to highlight the text. If you are using a keyboard map that has defined these keystrokes to perform different functions, the functions associated with the keyboard map override the default functions described here.

If the left mouse button double-click has been configured to select a word, then double-click the word that you want to select.
To toggle the text selection method
In the session window, press the CTRL key and begin selecting text with the mouse.
Release the CTRL key, but do not release the mouse button.
Release the mouse button.
To select all text in a session window
From the Edit menu, choose Select All.
To clear selected text from a session window
In an open session, select the text that you want to clear.
From the Edit menu, choose Clear.
NOTE:Cleared text is removed from the display. It is not placed on the PC Clipboard and cannot be pasted.
To cut text to the Clipboard from a session window
Select the text that you want to cut.
From the Edit menu, choose Cut.
Other ways to cut text from a session window
Choose the Cut button on the toolbar.

Press CTRL+X.
To copy text to the Clipboard from a session
Select the text that you want to copy.
From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
Other ways to copy text from a session window
Click the Copy button on the toolbar.

Press CTRL+C.
To cut text from a session and append it to the Clipboard
Select the text that you want to cut.
From the Edit menu, choose Cut and Append.
NOTE:The information is placed at the end of the Clipboard.
To copy text from a session and append it to the Clipboard
Select the text that you want to copy.
From the Edit menu, choose Copy and Append.

To paste text into a session window
Position the cursor where you want to insert the cut or copied text.
From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
Other ways to paste text into a session window
Click the Paste button on the toolbar.

Press CTRL+V.
To continue pasting when text in Clipboard is too large for destination host screen
Position the cursor where you want to insert the cut or copied text.
From the Edit menu, choose Paste Continue.
To undo an edit operation
Following a cut, copy, paste, or text entry do one of the following:
From the edit menu, choose Undo.
From the toolbar, click the Undo button on the toolbar.
