Use the 3270 Printer page to set options such as printer name and destination (printer or file), and the option to bypass the Windows Graphics Device Interface.

Scheme |
Choose an existing print scheme or select Save As and create a new print scheme to use or configure specific settings for a 3270 printer session. You can save a scheme to a local or a remote location. Saving to a remote location allows you to share schemes. |
Save As |
Saves the current Edit settings under another name as a new scheme. |
Delete |
Removes the current scheme from the scheme list. |
Destination |
Displays print destination options. |
Printer |
Sends print data to a printer. |
Printer Name |
Select the printer name to which you want to print. You must choose the Apply button before moving on to other printer settings. |
File |
Sends print data to a file. |
File Name |
Enter the filename to print to. |
Append to Existing File |
When selected, the print job will be added to the end of the specified file. If the file does not exist, it will be created. |
Browse button |
Search for an existing file. |
Bypass Windows GDI |
Translates the print data stream directly to raw ASCII, and strips the data stream of host printing control commands. |
Duplex Printing |
Prints on both sides of the paper. |
Paper Status |
Shows the current status of paper size and paper source when a PC-based printer is selected in the Printer list box under Destination. This paper size and paper source will be used if Use PC Paper Setting is selected on the Paper/Margins page. |
Size |
Shows the currently selected paper size when a PC-based printer is selected in the Printer list box under Destination. |
