The following information appears in the client area for a 3270 printer session:
Job Status: Displays the state of your local printer. The states include: Idle, Printer Inactive, Printing in progress, Print job on hold, and Print Job in error.
Pages Printed: Displays the number of pages printed.
Printer Name: Displays the name of the printer and printer port the session is using.
Driver Name: Displays the name of the printer driver the session is using.
Output Name: The name of the port for a printer or the name of the file for file output. If the printer is a network printer, the printer name is repeated in this field.
The following information appears in the client area for a 5250 (AS/400) printer session:
Job Status: Displays the state of your local printer: Not Started, Running, or On Hold.
Pages Printed: Displays the number of pages printed.
Printer Name: Displays the name of the printer the session is using.
Driver Name: Displays the name of the printer driver the session is using.
To view print status
From the printer session View menu choose the Print Status command.
