Transferring Files

Open the AS/400 File Transfer to transfer files between your PC and the AS/400. You can open multiple sessions of file transfer and conduct more than one file transfer operation simultaneously. However, running multiple transfer sessions consumes memory, and could slow the performance of other applications.

Opening file transfer

  1. Open an IBM AS/400 session and select Batch File Transfer as the file transfer protocol.

  2. From the Tools menu choose the Transfer File command.

    The AS/400 File Transfer window is opened and you can start transferring files.
