To enable secure communications with SSL

  1. Make sure the enterprise server you're going to use, for example ESDEMO, is stopped.
  2. Create and configure an HTTPS listener.
  3. If you want to keep your pass phrases in a file, add them to the file.
  4. Return to the Home page of ES Admin and start ESDEMO.
  5. Check that all the listeners have started, by looking on the Listeners page. If you entered the pass phrases using a file, you should find that the HTTPS listener has started like all the other listeners. If you didn't, then the status of the HTTPS listener is Start pending.
  6. If you didn't set the pass phrase using a file, set it now:
  7. Optionally, enable additional logging of listener startup for debugging purposes.
