To enable logging for listener startup

To help locate the causes of listener problems, you can enable additional logging of the listener startup process.

  1. On the Enterprise Server Administration Home page, click Edit at the left of the server you want to configure
  2. Go to the Listeners page.
  3. At the top of the list of listeners, click the Communications Process Edit button (not Edit for any of the individual listeners).
  4. Add the following to the Configuration Information area:
    [listeners]
    logging=3
  5. Click OK.

Listener startup information is now logged, and is available in the log files.
