To start the ADO.NET Connection Editor as an administrator
- In standalone mode:

- Windows 7 and Earlier

- From your desktop, click
Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer > Data Tools > Data Connections.
- On the context menu, right-click
ADO.NET Connection Editor.
- Select
Run as administrator from the context menu.
- If prompted, click
Yes.
- Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows Server 2012

- From the
Start screen, right-click the
ADO.NET Connection Editor tile.
- On the bottom of the page, click
Run as administrator.
- If prompted, click
Yes.
- Windows 10 and Later

- From your desktop, click
Start > Micro Focus
Enterprise Developer.
- Right-click
ADO.NET Connection Editor.
- On the context menu, click
More > Run as administrator.
- From Visual Studio:

- Start
Enterprise Developer as an administrator.
- In Visual Studio, click
View > Micro Focus SQL Tools > ADO.NET Connection Editor.
- From the OpenESQL Assistant:

- Start
Enterprise Developer as an administrator.
- Start the OpenESQL Assistant.
- From the OpenESQL Assistant, click
ADO.NET Connection Editor.
