To start Enterprise Developer as an administrator

Depending on the files you create or edit using Enterprise Developer, you might need to start Enterprise Developer as an administrator. To do this:

Windows 7 and Earlier
  1. From your desktop, click Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer.
  2. Right-click Enterprise Developer for Visual Studio 2013; then select Run as administrator from the context menu.
  3. If prompted, click Yes.
Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows Server 2012
  1. From the Start screen, right-click the Enterprise Developer for Visual Studio 2013 tile.
  2. On the bottom of the page, click Run as administrator.
  3. If prompted, click Yes.
Windows 10 and Later
  1. Click Start > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer.
  2. Right-click Enterprise Developer for Visual Studio 2013.
  3. On the context menu, click More > Run as administrator.
