From the HCOSS Transfer Data tool, click the
Transfer Data Tasks tab.
Do one of the following:
To define a new transfer data task:
Click
New.
In the
Name field, type a name for the transfer data task file.
Click
OK.
To edit an existing transfer data task, select an existing task from the
Available Tasks drop-down list.
Choose one of the following to apply to the
Available Tasks drop-down list:
Local
To save the transfer data task file to the directory specified by the
Local HCOSS Directory HCOSS option.
Shared
To save the transfer data task file to the directory specified by the
Shared HCOSS Directory HCOSS option.
Choose one of the following to apply to the
Associated DDL Task drop-down list:
Local
To show local DDL tasks on the
Associated DDL Task drop-down list.
Shared
To show shared DDL tasks on the
Associated DDL Task drop-down list.
From the
Associated DDL Task drop-down list, select a DDL task file created using the Generate DDL tool.
From the
Source Connection drop-down list, select a DB2 connection previously defined using the Manage Connections tool.
From the
Destination Connection drop-down list, select a SQL Server connection previously defined using the Manage Connections tool.
To customize your transfer data task, click
Customize. See
To customize a transfer data task for more information. Optional.
Click
Save to save the transfer data task.
To export the transfer data task as one or more SSIS packages, click
Export as SSIS Packages. Optional.
Click
Transfer.
Warning: While the transfer is running, do not to switch to another HCOSS tool. This action could produce an undesirable result. If you must switch to another tool, click
Cancel and wait for the transfer process to stop before switching.
On the
Results tab, verify that the data transfer has completed properly.
