From the HCOSS Manage Packages and Plans tool, either create or open a bind script file.
Click
New Plan.
In the
Plan Name field, type a name for the plan.
Select an action.
Do one of the following:
To bind packages into the plan, select
Packages mode. In this case, all versions of each package are available to the plan.
To bind DBRM members directly to the plan, select
DBRM Members mode. In this case, HCOSS expects to find these members in the default DBRM library.
To bind one or more DBRM libraries to the plan, including all of the members in those libraries, select
DBRM Libraries mode. In this case, HCOSS searches the libraries for DBRM members in the order in which the libraries appear on the Selected Libraries list. HCOSS uses the first instance of a specified member that it finds.
If you have a qualifier you would like to specify, type it into the
Default Qualifier field.
Note: HCOSS applies plan qualifiers to DBRM members specified in the plan; however, packages included in the plan use the qualifier specified for the package when it was executed, ignoring any specified plan qualifier.
Depending on the mode you have selected, use the other lists and fields on this page to add packages or DBRM members to the plan, or to remove them from the plan. You can use the
Search field above each list to narrow the scope of the list. Use the % character as a wild card.
Click either
Add to Script to add the generated script command to the list of
Bind Script Entries on the
Bind Scripts tab, or click
Execute to add the generated script and also execute the script commands thereby updating the SQL Server database.
Note: If you do not execute the command at this time, you can execute it from the
Bind Scripts tab to update the SQL Server database. You must eventually execute the command for the bind to take place.
