You can create an element filter from the context menu using the relationships of an element type to the filter type. The Filter dialog box modeled in the filter type is automatically opened. This pre-assigns appropriate input fields of the filter criteria with the element's property values.

Example
In the standard SCLM model, an element filter is defined for the element type "SCLM Type". It is the filter type SCLM_FIL_Member which is also used as a stand-alone filter type.
When used from the context menu in the
Application Explorer view the filter dialog is populated with the properties available from the context.
