Setting a Region's Properties File

The way Enterprise Server for .NET sets a region's startup properties file depends on how you start a region.

• With the user interface, you associate a region with a properties file before you start the region.
• With the seestart command, you can use the -properties option to specify a region startup properties file.

  This overrides any property file settings in the user interface.

To set a region's properties file through the user interface:

1. In the Tree pane, under SEE Administration > Regions, select the region to configure.
2. In the Results pane, select the Properties file location item, and use the browse button to locate and select the file to use.

To set a region's properties file with the seestart command:

• Use the -properties:<properties file name> parameter to set the properties file.
  For example, the following command starts the DEMO region using the Region_Common.config startup file and the DEMOproperties.config properties file in the C:\Configurations\properties folder.

  seestart -region:DEMO -regionfile:Region_Common.config 
    -properties:C:\Configurations\properties\DEMOproperties.config
