The following list contains the restrictions currently in place for iFileshare:
- The Fileshare listener is restricted to the CCITCP protocol; it does not support CCISM.
- The Fileshare listener name must be different to the name of the region in which it is specified.
- To use iFileshare, advanced logging must be enabled, not basic Fileshare logging.
- The database reference file (dbase.ref) is only available for the purposes of the advanced recovery logging.
- You cannot use a Fileshare configuration file with iFileshare.
- A server failure within a high availability group requires manual intervention, and a restart of the group, before it can be added back into the group.
- FSVIEW functions support is currently limited to the following commands:
- Server Get
- Status Get
- Users Get
- Files Get
- Trace Toggle
- Tracing can only be enabled using the command line FSVIEW function (trace toggle).
