Testing a mainframe connection

If the Mainframe Explorer window is not displayed, click View > Mainframe Explorer.

This process tests the performance of the connection once it has been established, not initial connectivity.

  1. In the Mainframe Explorer window, log on to the mainframe.
  2. Right-click the connection name, then click Test Connection. The test details are displayed in the Output window.
  3. Click OK when complete.
