Setting a data set type

If the Mainframe Explorer window is not displayed, click View > Mainframe Explorer.
  1. In the Mainframe Explorer window, log on to the mainframe.
  2. Expand the required search filter to display the data sets.
  3. Right-click the required data set, then click one of the following:
    • Sequential
    • Partitioned
    • Source control > Librarian
    • Source control > Panvalet
    • VSAM > Keyed
    • VSAM > Entry
    • VSAM > Relative
    • Unloaded IMS Database
    • Unloaded DB2 Database

    The appropriate icon is displayed next to the data set.
