The DMA Express Edition Capsules for Cloud Service Automation (CSA) contain catalog-ready Service Designs and the underlying Components, Providers and Operations Orchestration (OO) flows required to deliver a seamless Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) experience for IT end-users.
Out-of-the-box CSA Service Designs support DMA Express lifecycle use cases for standalone Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL database environments, and employing CSA and OO best practices implemented in complex environments. The DMA Express Capsules and Service Designs support the following use cases:
Initial provisioning of a virtual machine
Initial provisioning of database software and a database instance
Database provisioning and database removal
Useful features like starting or stopping a DB instance
The DMA Express Capsules also install the underlying DMA Express flows into the OO environment. DMA Express flows run as native OO content so there is no requirement to install an HP Server Automation or a DMA Server infrastructure. You’re quickly up-and-running, and once installed and configured, new database environments can be provisioned in minutes and without administrative assistance, saving time and reducing costs.
Contrary to most OO content, DMA Express Edition requires a license to use it. As such, only licensed customers may access or download the DMA Express Capsules for CSA from the HP Live Network.
