One or more directory servers can be accessed via a single ESCWA node. From a directory server, you can create one or more
enterprise servers, on which your applications are deployed.
To create a directory server
- In the
Server Explorer view, right-click the required ESCWA node, point to
New and select
Directory Server Connection.
The
New Directory Server Connection dialog box is displayed.
- Ensure the required ESCWA connection is selected, complete the following fields, and then click
Finish:
- Name - a unique name to identify the connection.
- Server address - the hostname or IPv4 address of the directory server.
- Server port - the port on which that server is listening.
- Right-click the directory server node and select
Refresh if the details have not updated.
To edit the details of a directory server
If the network details of a directory server change, you can update the details to maintain connectivity.
- In the
Server Explorer view, expand the containing ESCWA node.
- Right-click the required directory server node and select
Properties.
The
MFDS Properties dialog box is displayed.
- On the
General tab, you can update the following fields, and then click
OK:
- Name
- Server address
- Server port
- Right-click the directory server node and select
Refresh if the details have not updated.
