To specify file properties

You can modify a file's properties manually or automatically using the Determine Directives command.

To specify file properties manually:

1. In Solution Explorer, right-click one or more files whose properties you want to set.
2. Click Properties.
3. For files used in the COBOL projects such as .cbl set the options and directives you require.
4. Click Apply, and then click OK.

To specify file properties using directives determination:

• Right-click a file in Solution Explorer and click Determine Directives.

  By default, this starts the Directive Determination Result dialog box that enables you to preview the suggested Compiler directives before applying them on the file.

• Ensure that the directives are as required and click OK.

Optionally, to revert the file properties to the ones set at project level:

• Right-click a file in Solution Explorer and click Use Project Defaults.
