You can configure RSE logging to trace and highlight issues with the server.
The logging configuration file is called rsecomm.properties and is hosted on the remote server under $COBDIR/remotedev/rseserver/rseserver-3.5.
The log location can be to standard output stream (stdout) or a file location. The various logging levels are described in the configuration file. A log file is created for each user that makes a connection and is found, when logged in as that user, in ~/.eclipse/RSE/rsecomm.log.
