Comments:
A synchronized elementary item always causes any containing group item to be aligned on the boundary of the most restrictive synchronized elementary item, and that group to be padded at the end to a multiple of that size. e.g. a group containing an elementary data item that was "DOUBLE SYNC" will always be aligned on an 8 byte boundary and will be padded to be a multiple of 8 bytes long.
