Locks (Active)

Use this page to view the current resource locks on this server.

Restriction: This topic applies only when the Enterprise Server feature is enabled.

Lock Ownership

Lists the current locks.

PID

Shows the process ID (PID) of a process that has issued a lock or wishes to issue a lock.

res-ID

Shows a resource ID allocated to the locked resource for the purposes of linking the information in the Lock Ownership part of the table with the information in the Resource Details part of the table.

Type

Shows the type of lock.

State

Shows the state of the lock. Possible states are:

Controlled	The requester has control of the resource
Waiting	The requester is waiting to gain control of the resource (synchronous request)
Pending	The requester has issued the request but has continued with other work (asynchronous request)

Persistence

Shows how long the lock lasts. Possible values are:

LUW	The lock lasts until the logical unit of work ends
Task	The lock lasts until the task ends
Lock Manager	There is no implicit release of the lock.
Process	The lock lasts until the process ends

Seq

The order in which requesters are to be handled.

Resource Details

Lists the resources that are locked.

Res ID (Resource Details): Shows a resource ID allocated to the locked resource for the purposes of linking the information in the Lock Ownership part of the table with the information in the Resource Details part of the table.
Queue: Shows the lock namespace.
Length: Length of the resource name in characters.
Resource Name: Shows the name of the resource given to it by the requester.
