Restriction: This topic applies only when the Enterprise Server feature is enabled.
You can use the Microsoft
ADSIEdit utility to view the ES areas of your LDAP repository. This tool is included with AD LDS. You can run it from the
Start Menu.
- Click menu, select
to open the editor.
- In the editor's menu, select
Action > Connect to... to open the Connection Settings dialog box.
- In the the Connection Settings dialog box, enter the following details to create a connection to the ES application partition:
- Connection name:
MF or a name of your choosing.
- Server name:
localhost
- Port:
389
- Connect to the following node: select the
Distinguished name (DN) or naming context radio button.
- DN value to enter:
CN=Micro Focus,CN=Program Data,DC=local
- Connect using these credentials: select the
The account of the currently logged-on user radio button.
- Click
OK.
The left pane displays a tree view item with the name that you configured as the connection name. When you expand this item, and then the container within it, the ES containers are displayed, for example
CN=Enterprise Server Users,
CN=ADAM Users, and automatically-generated containers such as
CN=Roles.
You can open these containers and double-click on the objects within them to view (or edit) their attributes.
