Using the FCD to Control Tracing

To use the FCD flags you must have access to the FCD; see the topic Accessing the FCD in the section File Handler and Sort APIs.

File tracing is controlled by two flag bit settings within the FCD:

• Bit 1 of fcd-flags-1 controls whether all file operations are traced.
• Bit 3 of fcd-fs-flags controls whether OPEN and CLOSE operations only are traced.

Change these bit settings as required to control tracing for individual files.
