Logging On to the Mainframe

Before you can log on to the mainframe, you need to have configured a mainframe node and configured the cache. To log on to the mainframe:

Drag and Drop remembers the details you configure, but for security reasons, not your mainframe password.

1. Start a 32-bit Net Express command prompt and enter mfdasmx.

   The Log on to the mainframe dialog box is displayed.

2. Alternatively, in Visual Studio, click Tools > Micro Focus COBOL Tools > Micro Focus Drag and Drop.
3. Enter the values to configure your session and click OK.

   The Drag and Drop user interface is displayed.

Enter your details as described below and click OK to connect.
