The following enhancements are available:
- Assess Data Migration Tool
- This new tool enables you to examine extracted DB2 schemas for the purpose of estimating the table sizes, and to identify the tables you want to migrate to your SQL Server database using HCOSS.
- Forward Compatibility
- SQL programs that were compiled and bound with Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0 Service Pack 1 Wrap Pack 1, published 30 November 2010, are now forward compatible with all later updates to Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0. That is, SQL programs can be run without being recompiled or re-bound. However, such programs cannot take advantage of improvements made to later versions of HCOSS until you recompile and rebind them. You can do this all at once, or incrementally as part of your regular program maintenance.
SQL programs that were compiled and bound using any of the following earlier versions of Studio Enterprise Edition must be recompiled and rebound before you deploy them to your production environment:
- Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0
- Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0 Wrap Pack 1
- Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0 Wrap Pack 2
- Studio Enterprise Edition 6.0 Service Pack 1
- Log File Management
- Several of the HCOSS tools now provide a
Log File tab where you can view the contents of the log files generated, and delete the log files of your choice. You can also configure your HCOSS options to automatically delete log files older than a given number of days.
