SAS/C Run-time Library Messages

The SAS/C run-time library issues diagnostic error messages when abnormal conditions or failures are detected. These messages are directed to the SYSTERM and/or SYSPRINT SYSOUT data set. If this data definition is removed from the Mainframe Access JCL, or is unusable for some reason, the SAS/C run-time library sends these messages to the z/OS system log. These messages can help you to diagnose failures. If you do not have SAS/C documentation and you need an explanation for a SAS/C run-time message, try the SAS corporate Web site at http://www.sas.com and search in the Service & Support section for the Online Product Documentation. Mainframe Access uses the SAS/C Release 7.50 run-time library. SAS/C run-time messages are generally identified by the LSCX prefix.
