- In the table of servers on the Home page of Enterprise Server Administration, click
Edit to the left of the row for the server that you want to enable MSS for.
- Click the
MSS tab.
- Check
Mainframe Subsystem Support enabled.
This is the minimum you need do to enable MSS. By default the enterprise server uses the SIT DFH$IVP. The startup lists, groups and resources used by the enterprise server will, therefore, be those defined by DFH$IVP.
- If you want to use a SIT other than DFH$IVP, specify the name of the SIT in
System Initialization Table.
If you want to set a SIT that has a $ (dollar) character in its name you have to escape the $ character, for example MY\$SIT:
- If you specified a SIT other than DFH$IVP, specify CICS search paths, unless you are enabling MSS for JCL rather than CICS, in which case search paths are not required.
- Click
Apply.
- Restart your server. The enterprise server will start as a MSS-enabled enterprise server, using either the default SIT, or the SIT you specified.
Note: You can disable or re-enable MSS by unchecking or checking
Mainframe Subsystem Support enabled, then clicking
OK and stopping and restarting the enterprise server.
