To Set Environment Variables from the User Interface

From the Enterprise Server Administration user interface, you can set environment variables to apply to each server instance that the interface displays.
  1. From the Enterprise Server Administration page, click the Edit button that corresponds to the enterprise server instance to configure.
  2. Select the Server > Properties > General tabs.
  3. In the Configuration Information text box, type: [ES-Environment]
  4. Enter the environment variable information to configure, using a separate line for each variable to configure.

    Enter the information in the form:

    <variable name>=<value>

  5. Click OK to apply the settings to the server instance.

For example, to configure that an enterprise server instance uses the EBCDIC character set, you would enter the following

[ES-Environment]
MF_CHARSET=EBCDIC
