Configuring CCI Introduction

CCI is the acronym for Common Communications Interface. CCI is the technology used by Micro Focus products such as Mainframe Access, Fileshare and CICS, to enable communications applications. CCI allows a common approach to configuration and diagnosis of errors for users of Micro Focus distributed applications.

This book provides a wide range of examples for configuring the various Micro Focus products that use CCI. All of this information is applicable to all products that make use of CCI technology. The information is divided into several categories:

UNIX: If you are using CCI on UNIX, you can ignore the chapters about CCIAPPC, CCIIPX, CCINETB and CCI Trace, and all of the appendices.

Windows: If you are using CCI on Windows, you can ignore the chapter on CCINAMPU.
