    In This Topic
    Gets or sets a sort sequence for the data being transferred. The specified sort sequence determines the order of characters in the alphabet when fields are alphabetized.
    Syntax
    expression.Xfr400SortSeq As String
    where expression is a variable that represents a FileTransfer Object

    Property Value

    The default is "*JOB". Possible values are:

    Value Description
    *HEX Uses the EBCDIC hexadecimal sort sequence.
    *JOB Uses the AS/400 job default.
    *LANGIDSHR Uses a shared weight table.
    *LANGIDUNQ Uses a unique weight table.

    You can also specify a table name. Use this syntax:
    <library name>/<file name>

    This string can be up to 220 characters long.

    Remarks
    The sort sequence also affects any comparisons based on characters in the fields.

    This property affects AS/400 data transfer and is only relevant for 5250 sessions.
