PlateSpin Transformation Manager provides bulk actions to help you manipulate and perform actions on multiple objects at a time.
You can import source workload information by importing or re-importing the machine information using the Import Spreadsheet action on the Workloads page.
In the PlateSpin Migration Factory environment, the PlateSpin Migrate Connector provides automated discovery of details for machines in the spreadsheet after a successful spreadsheet import.
You can import a single IP address or a range of up to 256 IPv4 addresses using the Import action on the Workloads page. The PlateSpin Migrate Connector provides automated discovery of details for IP addresses for Windows or Linux workloads.
You can view the progress of import activities for workloads imported during the past 24 hours. The report displays Import Results for workloads by status: All, Success, In Progress, Failed, and Not Found. Set the Global Project Selector to limit the report to imports attempted for a specific project.
NOTE:PTM restricts workload visibility according to the permissions of the logged-in user.
You can apply settings to multiple target workloads at a time by setting values in the Bulk Edit action on the Workloads page. Use the Global Project Selector, Filter, Advanced Search, sort, and multiple-select functions to refine the Workloads list and select the items for action. Use the Bulk Edit dialog to specify a value for one or more parameters in the selected workloads. Each specified value is set independently for a selected workload only if the value is a valid setting for it.
Bulk Edit performs a pre-check of the intended changes. The Bulk Edit Results report identifies workloads where changes will be fully performed, partially performed, or not performed. The report provides warnings that help you to understand implications of the requested changes. After reviewing the report, you can apply the edits, or cancel the request and try again.
You can apply state change settings to multiple target workloads at a time by using the Bulk Status Change action. Use the advanced search and sort options to refine the list and select the items for action. Use the Bulk Status Change form to specify the appropriate state for the selected workloads.
