Section 30.33.4, Salvage Purge on Mac Fails to Display the Deleted Files on SMBv1 Disablement
On Mac, the Deleted Files context menu item is not visible if you access a mapped volume from OES shared drive and right-click on the volume. However, it is visible if you do a right-click inside the volume. To view this context menu item, ensure that the salvage-purge under System Preference > Extension check box is selected, and then relaunch the finder.
Also, whenever a new OES drive is mapped, ensure to relaunch the finder to display the Deleted Files in the context menu.
When uninstallation of salvage purge application is attempted on Mac 10.12, it errors and prompts to remove the extension manually. To uninstall the application, deselect salvage-purge under System Preference > Extension.
When two volumes having the same name and residing on different servers are mapped from a Mac workstation, the salvage purge application fails to work for the volume, which is mapped later. Even if the first volume mapped is unmounted and salvage purge operation is attempted, the application fails to list the files for the second volume.
When you right-click on a OES shared drive and click Deleted Files, the salvageable files are not displayed.
To resolve this issue, ensure that SMBv1 is enabled.
