OpenText Open Enterprise Server CE 24.2 is an update for Open Enterprise Server (OES) 23.4 that includes enhancements, improves usability, and defect fixes.

Beginning with OES 24.2, the product name is rebranded to adhere to the company's CE CY.Q naming convention, wherein CE represents Cloud Edition, CY represents the calendar year, and Q represents the release quarter.
The new naming convention is OpenText Open Enterprise Server CE 24.2.
Beginning with OES 24.2, Google Cloud Storage is supported as the new account type in addition to the Azure, AWS, and S3 compatible cloud storage providers. For more information, see Accounts in OES 23.4: CIS Administration Guide.
Beginning with OES 24.2, you can configure infrastructure services using the K3s cluster.
Fresh Installation – Only K3s is supported. For more information, see Configuring Infrastructure Services on OES 24.2 in OES 23.4: CIS Administration Guide.
Existing Docker Swarm Configuration – Docker Swarm will continue to work if it is already configured and running after applying the OES 24.2 patch.
NOTE:As the support to Docker Swarm will discontinue in OES 24.4, OpenText recommends moving to K3s. For more information, see Updating to K3s Cluster in OES 23.4: CIS Administration Guide.
Beginning with OES 24.2, the following new NLVM commands are introduced for performing operations related to cache enabled pools:
Pool Cacheenable – Associate a cache with an existing pool.
Pool Cachedisable – Disable the associated cache from a pool.
Pool Cachesync – Perform pending modifications to the pool's metadata and cached file data written to the underlying storage pool.
