2.1 What’s New or Changed in CIS (OES 24.3)

2.1.1 Configurable CIS Subnet

By default, cisnet docker uses subnet 172.16.0.0/16 for container networking. The default cisnet docker subnet may conflict with your current network. To avoid subnet conflicts, the “Docker Network Setting” option is now available to modify the default docker subnet range.

For more information, see Section 4.2, Configuring CIS.

2.1.2 CIS Firewall Flexibility

Administrators can now configure CIS regardless of the firewall state. After configuring CIS, administrators can change the firewall status.

As a result, CIS can continue to function seamlessly with or without firewall.

2.1.3 CIS Data Integrity Inspector

Introducing cisintegrity, a new command line utility that offers a variety of validation options to verify the integrity of migrated objects in the cloud storage and database. This utility identifies the orphan objects and deletes them from cloud storage. As a result, unused space is reclaimed from orphaned objects.

For more information, see Section 7.0, Command Line Tools for CIS.
