OpenText iPrint Appliance is a virtual appliance that offers cross-platform, self-service printing for the enterprise. It allows users to print from their desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. iPrint Appliance supports NetIQ eDirectory, Active Directory and Microsoft Identity as user identity sources. It scales to fit organizations of any size and provides a single solution to manage the printing needs across multiple locations.

The appliance runs as a virtual machine within any virtualization environment such as VMware, Windows Hyper-V, Citrix Xen Server, or Xen on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).
In this patch release, the iPrint Windows Client was upgraded to version 6.23.31, Mac Client to version 6.18, and addressed few issues.

iPrint Management client is a browser-independent management tool. This is a Standalone utility for managing printer drivers and driver profiles. Only iPrint Administrators have access to this. Administrators can upload drivers for Windows, Mac and Linux. It provides a seamless experience, improved security and large driver uploads are made easy and fast. The iPrint Appliance Welcome Page is enhanced as per the Micro Focus UX standards and it provides a new look and feel.
The in-built PDF rendering experience using the remote renderer is improved.
In iPrint Appliance 5.0, the iPrint support to LPR printing is restored. The issues are fixed.
Printing documents with SmartArt graphics or tables may impact the quality of the printout. It is recommended to deploy Remote Renderer to resolve such issues.
