Display Tab

Using this tab, you can set various options that affect the appearance of the session window, as well as how many beeps sound when the host sends a message to the session and whether an automatic logon should occur whenever the session is opened.

Options	Description
Pages	Type the number of pages to use (1-9). You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons. A page is a data buffer from the host that consists of a specific number of columns and rows. The host application determines how many pages it sends to the PC. If you are not sure how many pages to specify here, contact your host administrator.
Rows	Type the number of rows per page (2-255). You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons.
Cols	Type the number of columns per page (2-132). You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons.
Cursor Shape	Click the shape that you want the cursor to have in the session window: To make the cursor A rectangular shape click Block. A horizontal line click Underline. A vertical line click Vertical Bar.
Capture Area	Click the option that indicates what portion of the data to capture: To capture Only the data from the last start-of-entry (SOE) character to the cursor (the remaining data is not captured) click SOE To Cursor. The entire page (this is useful for data that appears in forms) click Full Page. Each new buffer received from the host (this is useful for data that scrolls) click New Host Data.
Beeps On System	Type the number of beeps to sound when the host sends a message (0-99). You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons. A value of 0 turns off the beep, and 99 causes the session to beep until you issue a MessageWait command. (For example, if you're using the PEPWIN.EKM keyboard map, you would press CTRL+M to turn off the beep.)
Enable History	Select this option to save the commands you enter so that you can recall them later.
Save Input	Enter the number of commands to save (1-10) so that you can recall them later.

To specify the number of pages

If a UTS session is not already open, open one.
From the Options menu, click Settings.
From the Categories list box, click Display.
In the Pages text box, type the number of pages to use (1-9).

You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons.

The host application determines how many pages it sends to the PC. If you are not sure how many pages to specify here, contact your host administrator.

To specify the number of rows per page

If a UTS session is not already open, open one.
From the Options menu, click Settings.
From the Categories list box, click Display.
In the Rows text box, type the number of rows per page (2-50).

You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons.

To specify the number of columns per page

If a UTS session is not already open, open one.
From the Options menu, click Settings.
From the Categories list box, click Display.
In the Cols text box, type the number of columns per page (2-255).

You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons.

To specify the cursor shape

If a UTS session is not already open, open one.
From the Options menu, click Settings.
From the Categories list box, click Display.
From the Cursor Shape list box, click the shape that you want the cursor to have in the session window:

To specify the data to capture

If a UTS session is not already open, open one.
From the Options menu, click Settings.
From the Categories list box, click Display.
From the Capture Area list box, click the option that indicates what portion of the data to capture.

To specify the number of beeps to sound

If a UTS session is not already open, open one.
From the Options menu, click Settings.
From the Categories list box, click Display.
In the Beeps On System text box, type the number of beeps to sound (0-99) when the host sends a message.

You can also specify this number using the arrow buttons.
