Using the Quickpad Editor

To create a QuickPad from a session window

  1. If a session is not already open, open one.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • From the View menu, click QuickPads.

    • Click Settings from the Options menu, and then click QuickPads from the Categories list box.

  3. Click New.

To create a QuickPad from the QuickPad Editor

  • Click on the toolbar.

    -or-

    From the File menu, click New.

    Since you can open only one QuickPad at a time, you are prompted to save any changes on any currently open QuickPad before the new QuickPad opens.

To open a QuickPad from a session window

  1. If a session is not already open, open one.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • From the View menu, click QuickPads.

    • Click Settings from the Options menu, and then click QuickPads from the Categories list box.

  3. Double-click the QuickPad that you want to edit, or click the desired QuickPad and click Edit.

    The QuickPad Editor runs, displaying the selected QuickPad.

To open a QuickPad from the QuickPad Editor

  • Click on the toolbar and complete the Open QuickPad dialog box.

    -or-

  • From the File menu, click Open and complete the Open QuickPad dialog box.

    Since you can open only one QuickPad at a time, you are prompted to save any changes on any currently open QuickPad before the selected QuickPad opens.

To specify the QuickPad title and color

  1. Open a QuickPad.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Double-click an empty area of the QuickPad.

    • Click QuickPad Properties from the Edit menu.

  3. Complete the QuickPad Properties dialog box.
