Purging Scan Artifacts
Purging an artifact recovers space from the Fortify Software Security Center database by removing the uploaded artifact, the temporary results of artifact processing, and the cross-reference information for sourceA place in the code where malicious data can enter. files.

After the purge, you cannot delete the purged artifacts, or the earliest artifact not purged.

To purge a scan artifactAny type of file containing information or tasks pertinent to the secure development of an application version. Scan artifacts are used only in Fortify Software Security Center applications. from the Fortify Software Security Center database:

From the DASHBOARD, move your cursor to the applicationA customer codebase evaluated by Fortify software. The top-level container for one or more application versions. When you work with a new codebase, the application and first application version are automatically created. An application includes one or more application versions that users create and configure. version with artifacts that you want to purge, and then select Artifacts from the shortcut menu.
The ARTIFACT HISTORY table lists all scan artifacts uploaded for the application version.

The table expands to show the details for the selected artifact.

Below the artifact details, click PURGE.
Fortify Software Security Center prompts you to confirm that you intend to purge the artifact.
